Who we are
Centroamérica Tours is an independent digital magazine covering travel in Central America. We do not sell tours or holiday packages: we are an editorial outlet that produces careful reporting to help travellers discover the region.
What we are trying to do
We want to be the reference for anyone looking for trustworthy information about Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Belize. We write detailed destination guides, practical advice and the kind of content that actually helps you plan a trip.

How we work
These are the rules we write and review by. If you spot us failing one of them, write to us and we will fix it.
- Editorial independence. We do not sell tours, packages or accommodation, and no destination pays to appear here. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled as such on the page itself.
- Prices and opening hours carry a date. Entrance fees, transport and accommodation rates change every season. We say when a figure was checked and we recommend confirming it before you book.
- Safety without varnish. Where an area carries current warnings we say so, just as we say when those warnings are out of date.
- Credited photography. Our images come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences and are credited with author and licence in every caption.
- Corrections in the open. When a fact stops being true we update the article, and we do not erase the trace of the change.
Responsible travel
Central America packs enormous biodiversity into very little territory, and many of its communities live on tourism. We favour public transport over private, local guides over international chains, and we flag when an activity has an impact on wildlife or on heritage.
